Kevin Lee Reichert

August 16, 1970 - May 5, 1999

Kevin Lee Reichert, age 28, of Chetek, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 1999, as result of an AH-64 Apache Helicopter crash in Albania, while in support of Operation Task Force Hawk.

Kevin was born on August 16, 1970 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, the son of Tom Harmon and Bonnie English. As a toddler, he was adopted by the late Dale and the Late Kathleen (Haizel) Frontczak. He was later adopted at a young age by Harley and Flo (Bonnette) Reichert. Kevin attended grade school in Muskego, Wisconsin. He graduated from Chetek High School in Chetek, WIsconsin in 1988. On May 3, 1989 he left for basic training with the U.S. Air Force. On November 21, 1989, Kevin and Ridgeley Schroeder were united in Marriage in Chippewa Falls, WIsconsin. To this union, three children were born; Carissa, Christopher and Colten. Kevin was stationed in Hahn, Germany for a year and a half before moving to Ramstein, Germany and then on to New York and Idaho. He applied and was accepted by the U.S. Army Aviation Flight Program in 1995. He attended flight school at Fort Rucker, Alabama where Kevin received his wings and later became an AH-64 Apache Helicopter Pilot. He then returned to Illesheim, Germany in 1997.

Kevin attended the Air Force Community College and received his Associates Degree. At the time of his death he was near receiving his Bachelors Degree in Aeronautics and a Minor in Safety. Kevin also had a private helicopter pilot license.

He is survived by his wife, Ridgeley Reichert, daughter Carissa Marie (9); two sons: Christopher Lee (7) and Colten William (4) all of the family home; his mother, Flo Reichert of Chetek, WI; grandmother, Tracy Haizel of West Allis, WI; his father, Tom Harmon and his wife Barbara, of Billings, MT; Bonnie English of WI; two brothers: Gerald Reichert of Milwaukee, WI; and Dan Harmon of Billings, MT; a sister, Holly English of Friendship, WI; grandfather, Frank Harmon of Miles City, MT and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Harley Reichert.
