![]() Topic: What would you do?Posted: 22 Jun 2010 at 12:53pm |

My husband took it upon himself to try to search on his own for my birthparents. With today's technologies, he found my birthmother. Now here is my question. I told him I don't want to know who she is, however I do know her first name (deborah). I don't feel right knowing who she is when she did not want her info released to me in 2006 when I did my original search. What would you do? My case worker told me to request another outreach but offered no other guidance in that area and made no reference to that fact that I have her info. Please help, I feel bad invading her privacey and her life, howver she is preventing me from meeting me birth father. Thanks for your time! |

The fact your husband meant well doesn't diminish the fact he took liberty of something so personal without your approval. But, thank God we love our guys and can forgive them. You now have the dielemma of deciding what you want to do. Perhpas considering a contact discrete and with respect to B mom may lead you to the ID of your birthfather and yet continue to respect birthmother's privacy??
Sorry for my dela in respondin. I broke my upper femur and was hospitalized 10 days and then nursing home rehab for two more weeks. Still in recovery process after getting a blod clot this past two weeks.
